Good evening to our Sam Shaw families. We want to share our gratitude to the many of you who were able to join us this morning as you dropped off your student. We can share that by 9:15 we had most of our students were where they needed to be and we appreciated the support from many of you as we got students to eiher the gym or onto their homerooms beyond the gym. Our grade 5 and 6 students at the end of the day will create the routines of where to meet up with their rides and we know these routines will take a few days to establish. We thank you for the support and flexibility as we work togther to support your student.
We know there will be many excited conversations as your studnet comes home. We also know there may be a few hiccups as we get going. I would ask that if there was some confusion or some aspect that is a wonderment that you email your student's homeroom teacher as your point of contact for clarification.
We know there is much on the news about new student registration, we have some information there to share. We started the planning for our year at 712 students from grades 5 - 9. As of the end of the day today we have 764 students on our books. We will continue to make changes and modifications where it makes sense and add resources where we can. I will communicate throughout the next several weeks how we will move forward.
Again, we want to thank you for a great day 1 and an appreciation to meeting many of you and the kind words that many of our students shared at the end of the day as they were leaving.
Have a great night, and we look forward to tomorrow and day 2 :).
