One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. Meeting Schedule
Samuel W. Shaw Fundraising Society (SSFS) meetings are usually held in person in SWS's Learning Commons, directly following the SWSSC meeting, usually starting about 7:15 p.m. All are welcome and every opinion is valued. Occasionally, including some winter months, we will meet virtually using Microsoft Teams. Messages are sent from the school to communicate location and dates.

Our Parent Society is known as Samuel W. Shaw Fundraising Society.
It is a separate, parent-run organization devoted to raising funds to enhance the learning opportunities for students. It is also open to all parents and guardians of students at Samuel W. Shaw.
