Sam Shaw – Parent Message
Good afternoon and Happy Monday to our Sam Shaw families. We want to start off by thanking all of those that were able to donate to our food drive last week. It was a great response inside a small window. Our grade 8 leadership students are loading up the donations today for pick-up tomorrow. For those families wishing to still donate we will continue to accept donations tomorrow morning.
On Friday we hosted some Calgary Stampeder Football team members as they played our senior girls and boys basketball in a “friendly”. It was a really great opportunity for our students to cheer on their peers and have some fun.
This coming week we have some school spirit days and are excited to have our leadership students organize some spirit days for our students.
A reminder to our grade 9 parents that we are hosting the Admin Team from Centennial High School here Wednesday night starting at 6;15pm. This is one of the opportunities parents will have to help them in supporting their student in transitioning to high school. The process is upon us when we return from the winter break, and we want our parents to be as informed as we can provide to help.
