Happy Sunday Sam Shaw families, we hope this email finds you well. We also hope you were able to get out and enjoy the great weather teasing us that spring just may be here after all! Below are some important updates and highlights to keep you in the know.
We want to reassure you that our commitment to active supervision remains steadfast.
Our staff is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of all students both inside the building and out on the school grounds. This includes transition times between classes as well as nutrition break.
We are very excited for this week’s performance of “High School Musical!” A special thanks to Ms. Martyn, Ms. Hockey and all of the students who have been putting in countless hours to prepare. We will be welcoming students from Janet Johnstone, Somerset, and Bridlewood this week to come and take in the performance. We invite all Sam Shaw families to come and see the show on Thursday night at 7:00 pm.
A congratulations is in order for all of our Grade 6, 7, 8, and 9 students who made the badminton teams. Let’s cheer on our players as they hone their skills and prepare for their upcoming tournaments.
Now that the weather is turning the corner we have pulled together additional equipment for students to enjoy outside over the lunch hour. There is now a bin by the compound doors that has several basketballs, volleyballs, footballs, and soccer balls for students to borrow. Thank you to all students who remember to return the balls at the end of lunch!
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child’s education journey.
Together, we can create a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment at Sam Shaw. We invite all families to join us for our school council meeting on Wednesday night. Your input and participation are invaluable as we work together to enhance the educational experience for all students. We look forward to seeing you there.
Please note that the school doors open at 8:00 am, with the exception being for students on the badminton team who have practice in the morning at 7:45am.
