Happy Sunday everyone! Hopefully you are out enjoying the sunshine and noticing the first signs of spring starting to pop up. Here are some important reminders and announcements for the week ahead.
Grade 6 and 9 Provincial Achievement Exams
This year all Grade 6 and 9 students will be completing their Provincial Achievement Tests (PAT) on the computer. In order to prepare the students, we have begun practicing the new program with them, called Vretta, so they are confident and familiar using it well in advance of their exams. The first official PAT is on May 13 for the Grade 9 students. This is the English Language Arts written exam. The rest of the exams for Grades 6 and 9 are in June and the specific dates are listed below.
Badminton Meets
Exciting news for our badminton players! The badminton teams across grades 6, 7, 8, and 9 will be participating in meets this week.
Monday April 29 Grade 7 Badminton meet at Mackenzie Highlands 4:15 pm -5:30 pm
Monday April 29 Grade 8 Badminton meet at Marshall Springs 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Tuesday April 30 Grade 6 Badminton at Mackenzie Highlands 4:15 pm – 5:30 pm
Thursday May 2 Grade 9 Badminton at Sam Shaw 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
Outdoor Phys-Ed
With the weather warming up, our phys-ed classes will be heading outdoors for some activities. We ask parents and guardians to ensure that their kids are dressed appropriately for outdoor activities, including proper footwear and attire for various weather conditions.
City Bus Riders
A reminder to our students who utilize the city bus to uphold courteous and considerate behaviour at bus stops and during your trip. We share this service with our community. Being respectful, courteous, and responsible not only reflects positively on our school but also contributes to a positive community environment.
