Important Information
We’ve noticed an increase in students asking friends to share lunches or requesting money while in line at the Storm Store. While generosity is a wonderful quality, this has started to feel uncomfortable and frustrating for many students who are being asked repeatedly.
We ask that families please check in with their children about coming to school with enough food for the day and, if they plan to visit the Storm Store, appropriate money. This helps ensure that lunch and break times remain relaxed and positive for everyone.
If there are ever concerns about access to food, please know that the school is here to help—families are always welcome to reach out confidentially.
Thank you for your support in helping us create a respectful and comfortable environment for all students.
- Great news! The grade 5 storm cart worked really well this week! Parents- thank you for your help and support.
- Is your child missing a coat? Hoodie? Random boot? Pencil case? Please ask them to check the lost and found. There are many items that look sad, lonely, a bit dirty and they need to go home.
- Order your 25/26 yearbook now! SWS 25/26 Yearbook Pre-order
- Please check PowerSchool to pay your fees for option courses, teams, fieldtrips and noon supervision for grades 5 & 6. The school relies on these fees to cover the cost of field trip buses, programs, materials and supplies for option courses.
- This is a reminder that students need proper footwear for physical education. Uggs, Birkenstocks, Crocs, and winter boots are not appropriate for gym. Please check in with your child about their runners, where they are, and why they are important in physical education. Please reach out to your child’s gym teacher if you have any questions.
