MEET THE TEACHER OPEN HOUSE 

Please join us on Thursday, September 10 for our Meet the Teacher evening from 5:30-7:00pm- ALL GRADES!  This is an opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and to learn more about what the learning spaces look like, check out their lockers, and tour the school. There will be two Town Hall Meetings for grades 5 and 7 only.  There will also be a Grade 9 information meeting about expectations for learning and preparation for high school. Although there are no meetings for grade 6 and 8 students, please make sure to attend anyway to meet the teachers and tour the school! 

Grade 5 Town Hall Meeting: 5:30-6:00 in main gym  

Grade 9 Information Meeting 6:00-6:30 Aux Gym  

Grade 7 Town Hall Meeting: 6:30-7:00 in main gym  

Grade 7-9 Band Parent Meeting: The Grade 7-9 Band parent meeting will be at 5:30 in the Band Room. This meeting will be about 30 minutes.  

PLP families are welcome to explore the PLP learning spaces and the rest of the school. There will be no Town Hall meeting for PLP students. 

Important Information:

1. AUDITIONS for the Addams Family production September 14-18 for grades 7-9 students! Attend the information meeting on Sept 9 for more information about signing up for an audition time slot and how to prepare for your 60 second audition. 

2. 2026/27 Healthy Hunger information: proceeds from Healthy Hunger support our Fundraising Society. Come to our council meetings to learn more about fundraising and how the funds are allocated to support the school.

3. Absence reporting:  It is important that you call the school if your child is going to be absent or arriving late.  

Report all absents/lates to the email to swsattendance@cbe.ab.ca. Please include students first and last name, teacher's name, grade, and the reason. 

If unable to send an email, please report all absences to the Attendance Line at 403-777-6163 ext. 1. Please spell the child's first and last name.
